Real-Life Example: When a House Felt Empty.

Angela and Peter had just moved into what seemed like their dream house. It had spacious rooms, a landscaped garden, and every modern feature a family could want. Yet within weeks, something changed. Arguments became frequent. Their children began experiencing nightmares. A feeling of unease lingered throughout the home.

It wasn’t until a visiting aunt softly observed, “This house feels empty—there’s no spirit of prayer here,” that something clicked. Angela realised they had never once invited the Lord into their new space. No prayer, no dedication, no sacred connection.

That night, the family came together to pray, asking God to bless their house and restore peace. They placed a wooden cross at the entrance, read Psalm 91 aloud, and anointed the walls with oil and placed some Christian art on empty spaces. Slowly, the house began to feel like a home. Laughter returned, the children slept soundly, and the air felt lighter. What changed wasn’t the structure—it was the spiritual atmosphere. A house not blessed is not a home, and they had finally welcomed God's presence back in.
